When I list the categories to exclude from the results and save them, they still show up on my website as thumbnails. I copy and pasted the slugs with commas between each page but still don’t work.

i also want to change the size of the thumbnails but each time i save my changes it reverts back to the default. Can you help me fix this?

Is there also a way to change the layout of 6 – 8 thumbnails to appear one row instead of 2 or 3 rows?

On the mobile site version of https://www.theballetblog.com – The hero image of each article appears below the related article thumbnails and I want the thumbnails to appear below all article content. how can I do this?

Is this a normal post, or is this a Custom Post Type? I think if it’s the latter, it might explain why the categories don’t work. The plugin still doesn’t support exclusion of custom taxonomies

On the thumbnail size and the display: This is because you’re using the default style. The next version of the plugin allows you to set a custom size even with the default styles. It’s out in a few weeks.

On the hero image: I don’t know how your theme is built, but you could try setting the Content Priority Filter option to a larger number e.g. 99999 and see if it works.
I suspect it might not, because of the way the site theme is built. You might need to use the manual install of the plugin to achieve this.

Regarding https://www.theballetblog.com/portfolio/the-oversplit-leg-mount/ – This is a portfolio item not a blog post and the categories that I would like to exclude are mainly membership areas.

Do you have a date for when the new update will be coming out?

Hi,

You could try using https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/crp-taxonomy/ which allows you to restrict the related posts further by the same category / taxonomy.

I’ve got a very advanced version in Github but it still needs one more issue closed and fixed before release: https://github.com/ajaydsouza/contextual-related-posts/
