• Being fanatical about performance, I’ve tried all of them over the years: WP Total Cache (too cumbersome), WP Super Cache (simple, but also cumbersome with a silly UI now), WP Fastest Cache, Comet Cache, and WP Rocket.

Of those, I had settled for Comet Cache, which has the easiest settings. WP Rocket has some Github scripts that allow us to fully serve static files, but the UI of that is needlessly complex as they try to plug “Pro” features.

Cache Enabler is absolutely fabulous. We are on Nginx, and it serves super fast static-speed pages. The minification feature works better than anything I’ve tried (Autoptomize, Clearfy, etc) because it leaves no space whatsoever and does it judiciously; those others “compression/minify” plugins will still leave hard-newlines, which is annoying. All of them.

Cache Enabler just works. The UI is minimal, but the magic is maximal. Clearly coded by people who know what they’re doing. I’ve replaced all my plugins on around 25 websites with CE now. Love it.

Forget all the “Best Caching Plugins” blog posts all over the web, and get this one. You’ll be grateful.
