I started at wp e-commerce (which I believe is associated with your first link)

I got fed up (hard to configure well, lack of support) with it and moved to eshop, which I really am happy with

You may have to try out several, but if you are trying to do something specific, you may have to get your hands dirty with some code. You can only get so much for free.

That being said, the devs of eshop have been very helpful for me, and are quite active around here

We have tested all solutions, or, when possible, checked the online demos.

Maybe we are used to Magento, but we haven’t been able to set up a working online store for physical products using Twenty Ten theme and WP 3.0.5.

Even using it as a catalog, the visualization of products and categories is extremely complicated and confusing.

Maybe there are good solutions for virtual products, but no for physical ones.

eShop specifically works with any theme, and products are added to pages/posts. So you decide the layout etc.

eShop is the best solution so far. The documentation you provide is useful and what we liked most is that products are created in the same posts and/or pages, no extra custom post types.

For the moment, we haven’t been able to show products in categories, using a simple grid. Seems that, or at least we haven’t figured out how to, show pages with categories.

On the other hand…

WP e-commerce has a lots of bugs.
Phpurchase seems more focused in virtual products.
Ecwid is not SEO optimized.

But at this moment, we need to set up a network of wordpress sites, each with its own checkout, country and currency, installed in different subdomains.

For the moment, seems no e-commerce wp plugin supports that.

that isn’t what you asked for in your initial post. Several of the plugins you mention work in Multiuser mode of WordPress.

No, I was not exactly asking for WP MU functionality, but as we are considering how to develop the project, we need also this feature.

As Rev. Voodoo said, is very subjective to choose a plugin as the best, always depends on what you need, and which ones requires less customization.

We have tested all plugins, and all are great, except getshopped.org, which has a lot of errors. And believe me, I don’t like to say this, because I usually respect someone else’s work.

As always, I really appreciate your opinions and suggestions. ??

Forget WP-commerce is full of bugs. Bought the goldcart, the Dropshop and even a template from them. Did′nt work at all.
