• I worked with Drupal, TYPO3, Contao, Magento and many website builders. In terms of editing experience WordPress killed them all, with Gutenberg.

I don’t like to work with all the other editors any more, because Gutenberg keeps me in my writing workflow while allowing me to enrich my posts with media and other content (nearly) without taking my hands off the keyboard. I love this editing experience.

Yes there are bugs and lack of optimization for images but there is no way working without Gutenberg anymore. I believe in some months most one-star-reviewers will use and love Gutenberg, too.

I also love to see that many developers built great blocks for Gutenberg. I hope some day there will be a plugin that really helps editors to write better content. With Gutenberg (means with React), the hope to have text checking during writing is no longer just a dream. Maybe Yoast will improve this way …

    Thanks for your reply Ian.

If you keep up with the roadmap I am happy to continue writing and developing with Gutenberg. For me the most important part of the roadmap is responsive images, means fixing frontend-performance issues.

    Cheers,
    Alf
