At first sight it did look like a normal theme, but then you dig into the customization and find powerful options to customize almost everything, independently in pages, post, custom post types and categories. It is so userfriendly and powerful to use that the pro version is for most user not needed at all. But with the pro version you can get rid of many plugins that is needed to acheive the same results, which makes running a WP site much easier. In addition it is super fast.
