• Clean install. Few hundreds of rows in wp_options table – all of them with autoload set as true.. None of them are removed after deinstalling the plugin. None of them are used all the time.

Some people are saying that WP is a joke, which is insecure and slow. This is a plugin which is causing such opinions…

Did you measure the query time for wp_load_alloptions() query time with the plugin query monitor?
If so. pls give me details or rethink your remark.

Hi, just wanted to share the following information.

The latest version removes many rows in wp_options table. The new version is a huge improvement ??

    Well done.

    Kind regards

Yes, I am always in for ideas, even when it takes 4 days programming/testing while it saves only 50ms on an avarage pageload on my test site.

However, if 1000 entries in wp_options ‘kills’ your db, i wonder if your server is suitable to run wp or wppa anyway. Every photo/video/audio/pdf has a row in wppa_photos db table. There are sites with over 120.000 photos in wppa (i.e. also 120.000 rows in wppa_photos, and don’t underestimate the wppa_index table) that run smoothly, even with albums containing 25.000 photos.

So, if you encounter already performance or capacity issues with 1000 entries in a table, i can only recommend you to look for a host with better servers. Does not need to cost a lot these days…

I agree with your comment, and yes you are correct. However, I don’t have an issue with your plugin. I think it is a great plugin. I just wanted to comment in the review to point out the latest improvement to drozdz above.

Thank you for your huge effort ??
