• Over the years, I’ve tried dozens of event listing plugins for WordPress, and for a while most of them were so bloated, barely functional, poorly supported, and just bad, that I started writing my own bare-bones minimal event listing systems using Custom Post Types and some gnarly queries.

But now that I’ve set up this one on a few clients’ sites, and delved into the hooks, filters and template overrides that make this plugin so logical and straightforward to customize, I’m full of joy.

  • Hi Chad! Rob from Modern Tribe here…I head up our Support team and after seeing this review during my pass on dot-org today, I wanted to reach out to personally thank you for your review here. This is one of the most thoughtful reviews I’ve seen in a while and one that I think will be really valuable for others who are trying to make an informed decision regarding which calendar plugin to use.

We’re glad to hear that the plugin is working out well enough that you’ve got it running – with customizations, at that! – on some client sites. Happy clients make for happy developers, which makes for a happy world all around ??

Thanks again for this feedback. If you ever need help, have questions or want to propose ideas/new hooks/etc…don’t be a stranger. We’re always listening and receptive to this type of feedback, and want to make sure future iterations of the plugin match your own expectations and needs. Cheers!
