The 3.7.1 "blank page" problem is because of checkSecurity()

    THIS IS NOT INTENDED AS A USER SOLUTION. It’s here as FYI for the SmackCoders team to figure out the real problem.

    I’ve been getting the blank screen issue with 3.7.1, both with WP 4.13 and 4.2.

    Under 4.2, I hacked the new checkSecurity() function in WPImporter_includes_helper.php to cancel out the if block and just always return true, and the main dashboard screen loads as expected. Something’s obviously not right in there.

    Unfortunately, there seems to be something more involved going on. See also my other thread about the previous version(3.7) still breaking with 4.2, but in a different way.

    So, even though the blank screen is somehow related to the function I mention here, something about WP 4.2 itself might also be part of the problem.

    This issue has been fixed and updated as version 3.7.2. Kindly upgrade the plugin now and let us know this is solved.
