The cat's whiskers!

  • A year ago, I needed a quiz plugin. I looked high and low, but none I could find used custom post types. Eventually, I settled on one, and it has been working very well for the test-takers. But it’s a bit of a nightmare to use on the admin pages…

    Enter HD Quiz!! At last a quiz plugin that uses custom post types, and is really easy to set up. Questions are as easy to create as regular posts, and quizzes are just like regular categories. So simple, and yet so effective!

    But the developer has gone much further than that. Every quiz is easily customizable, so (if you choose) you can randomize the questions in some quizzes but not others, and have different passing grades and messages for every quiz.

    I also really like the beautiful “scroll-up” effect after the test-taker presses the “finish” button (the test of which can also be customized), so that the taker can then easily peruse his or her results from top to bottom.

    HD Quiz is compatible with ZenCache and ZenCache Pro, and all of this works beautifully on mobile too. The developer is also super-responsive. No doubt he has more bells and whistles in mind, but this is already so good that I am converting all my quizzes and questions for use in HD Quiz, and will then use it to replace my current plugin.
