    Hello,

I have two web stories currently that have popped up with this error in my google search console.

“The certificate chain referenced by ‘cert-url’ is invalid for the signed exchange”

I am also getting this error: The tag ‘link rel=canonical’ appears more than once in the document.”

This happened after updating my webstory plugin.

    Thanks,
    Sam

  • @samopp Hello there, can you please share the Web Stories URLs that have these issues?

Are you referring to the story in your other open topic? It appears you have Web Stories v.1.11.0 activated per the source code. Could you share your Site Health information so we can confirm you have v1.12.0 installed and check for other conflicts? You can share privately if you prefer. This latest version has a fix for the error around ‘link rel=canonical’.

    Hello,

These are 2 new errors I am having in google search console.
The error for ‘link rel=canonical is for all my stories. I see the plugin update and just updated to the latest version. I will see if it fixes the error.

For the “The certificate chain referenced by ‘cert-url’ is invalid for the signed exchange” these are the two webstories showing up under amp.

    Hi there,

First of all, this “cert-url” message is caused by Cloudflare, which is a service you are using on your website. It’s not caused by Web Stories.

Second, it’s important to know that the “cert-url” message is just a warning, not an error. Your stories are still eligible for some AMP-specific features in Google Search results, but it just means they’re not fully compliant with AMP best practices.

To address that warning, try visiting https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/speed/optimization and toggling the “AMP Real URL” feature off for a few minutes and then re-enabling.

If you didn’t set up Cloudflare yourself, reach out to your website administrator or reach out to Cloudflare support directly to get assistance.

Again, this is an issue with your Cloudflare setup, not Web Stories.

    Hello,

Ive tried that, but it didn’t seem to work? Would you happen to have another suggestion or know where I could find support for this?

    Thank you,
    Sam

Since this is an issue with your Cloudflare setup, not Web Stories, you’d need to reach out to Cloudflare support.

@samopp Your topic will be closed as resolved. Please feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to experience any issues. Thank you!
