Clicking “Leave a comment” in AMP often fails to open the comment form on the mobile version of the site. To be more precise, it opens in an incomprehensible way: for example, in Firefox it works fine, but in Chrome it only works in some articles.

The main problem is with Chrome, because clicking “Leave a comment” takes many users to the beginning of the publication.

The problem concerns not only the link above, but also all other articles in AMP format.

Please advise how to solve the problem and what it may be related to?

This is what the problem looks like in the video recorded from the smartphone screen. The video at the link is about 36.3 megabytes.

Other plugins used: Autoptimize, LuckyWP Table of Contents, Rank Math SEO, Web Stories, WP Fastest Cache. WordPress Theme: Ashe Pro.

I really hope for your support. Thank you very much in advance for your answer!

  • It might be because of the antispam plugin. If it is not up to date.

Unfortunately, even without the anti-spam plugin, the problem is still relevant. So this option is absolutely not suitable.

Can you please check it once by clearing all the caches and let me know back?

Cleared all caches (both site and browser), nothing has changed. Unfortunately, the problem with the comment form is still relevant.

The issue might occur due to the conflict with the other plugins. Can you please check it once by deactivating the plugins on your site one by one and check whether the issue is persistent then let us know back?

Deactivated all plugins except AMP for WP. Unfortunately, the problem has not disappeared.

I managed to solve the problem by completely deleting cookies, clearing browsing history, browser cache, and generally all the data that were associated with the site in Chrome.

After that, the comment forms are working properly again. It’s a little unpleasant that other visitors to the site may encounter such a problem, but it’s not the plugin’s fault. I apologize for your time, this is very stupid of me.
