• I have the latest WP version and WP Clone plug in.
I am hosting on GoDaddy and using the latest version of firefox and safari on the mac.

When I click back up I get an error:
    The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

But then sometimes when I go back to the WP Clone main backup page, it shows there is a backup file. WHen I click to download the file I get this error:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

  • I have the same problem … I’m on GoDaddy too – trying to make a backup getting the No Data Sent error on both FF and Chrome.

Were you ever able to get this to work eshane?

No I haven’t. I sure wish they would respond to this and help out.

I tried again today and still getting same error – but when I FTP into my Godaddy’s website files I can see that wp-clone created the directory and copied a bunch of files … but I don’t know if it is “complete”? I can’t know for sure unless I try to restore it – even still this plugin should not error out so this needs to be figured out before I can actually use it on a live site.

    Dear wynot,

Can you please inform us of the size of your backup.

Unfortunately due to the variety of hosting platforms we are not able to support this plugin on all hosts and/or for backups larger than 100mb. A lot of our problems lately are related to Godaddy hosting, which in our opinion should not be used for WordPress websites.

However we appreciate any information that you give us as it will help improve the software

    Best regards,

    Hi- Thanks for the response.
Unfortunatly, yes I am on Godaddy ?? It’s a client site so I can’t change the isp. I guess You can remove godaddy from the list of compatible host providers.
Oh well …. back to the drawing board I go.
