I use EasyMag theme and have been working on the child theme created by this plugin. Now I need to troubleshoot an issue from a plugin on my site and would require me to delete the parent theme then reinstall it. Before I do that, I’d like to know the proper way to delete it, for example do I delete the parent theme first then the child theme? What should I do to save all the work I already done to the child theme so that after I reinstall the parent theme and re-create a child theme, all these work will still be there without me having to start all over again? Thank you.

First, deactivate the theme by activating a different theme other than the parent (twentynineteen, etc.)

You can then delete and reinstall the parent theme. Once that is complete, reactivate the child theme.

All of the settings are saved in the database and will remain after you reactivate the child theme.
