• It used to be a good theme, I used it for several websites, until they suddenly decided to drop some features and start asking for money, adding junk to the footer and making it impossible for users to maintain the sites they had previously created. Feedback was given not only by me but by other users consistently, they didn’t listen and basically told us to fuck off. Now I am gradually removing Neve from anywhere I’ve used it, and of course it’s time consuming and causing a ton of problems with my websites. Completely unreliable, don’t use.

I’m still kinda salty about this not gunna lie and it’s been two years.

I know the theme is free and blah blah whatever but there are plenty of free or freemium themes that don’t do bait and switch tactics like this.

    https://github.com/Codeinwp/neve/releases

Replaced these files with 3.2.5’s files on Neve on each update:

    Neve/header-footer-grid/Core/Builder/Footer.php
    Neve/header-footer-grid/Core/Components/Copyright.php
    Neve/header-footer-grid/templates/components/component-copyright.php
    Neve/header-footer-grid/loader.php

Your fully editable footer magically returns.

You would have to know how to use ftp or a file manager to do this.
