    Hi Shabti,

Thank you for all the work you are putting into this plugin. I’m just wondering what the practical difference is between the two Widgets “ACF Frontend Form” and “Edit Post Form”? They seem to be the same Widget, just pre-populated with different Items?

I’ve by mistake been using both. I use them in my Section Templates to edit that specific Section. This practically means that I on some pages/CPTs/Post have many buttons. On my installations, I have noticed that the “Edit Post Form” Widget seem to load the Items somewhat slower than the “ACF Frontend Form” Widget. Is this real or perceived? I don?t know…

Hi matt – i had the same question, did you come to a conclusion?

    Greetings!

The ACF Frotnend Form widget was originally planned to allow users to add multiple content types with just one form. For example, users can register a user, add a post, and a Woocommerce product all with one submission. Due to the complexity of this matter, this is currently possible through using a multi-step form in the pro version. Very soon, we will introduce this feature in a single step form.

The Edit Post Form can only be used for editing posts (of any post type).

Thanks for this information. “Edit Post Form” is the one for me then since I am only editing or adding values to already existing ACF fields. //Matt
