The effect of the <!–more–> function on SEO

  • Why should it be looked upon 2 different links?

    They are both linking to your post, just that when it loads, it puts you to the more-70 span id.

    Why do you not consider excerpts?

    Thanks Darren.I will implement excerpts on the new theme that I am working at the moment.BTW, what is the advantage of using excerpts?

    I am no SEO guru, so I can’t really tell you what kind of effect excerpts have on search engines. I guess I like excerpts better is because they don’t generate an additional link e.g. click here to read the full posts like the <!–more–> tag. It just displays the excerpt you have declared or the first 55 words of your posts.
