The “esteem_service_widget” block was affected by errors

  • Hi,

    I need to remove one of the ‘services’ but when I open the Appearances > widget> page and scroll to business page sidebar – the section just has a turning circle, and this message is at the top of the page:The “esteem_service_widget” block was affected by errors and may not function properly. Check the developer tools for more details.

    Unfortunately, I do not know what developer tools are or where to find them. I do not know when this started becoming an issue.

    Please help me figure this out as I would prefer to fix this. Not sure if deleting the page and re-creating it would help?

    HELP!! Is anyone still there?
    I have tried to remove the widget and then just add headings with text and images for now but it won’t save anything in order and now my homepage is all over the show – I can;t even revert back or delete the added items. Keeps saying it can’t save because of various reasons

    There was an error. Cannot destructure property ‘block’ of ‘u[e]’ as it is undefined.

    To fix the errors that appear in the widget area, you will need to use the classic widgets plugin. Here is the plugin link: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-widgets/

    Hi, thank you so much! I’m just working on this / testing it now. It seems to have worked.

    Can I also install “Classic Editor” to remove these silly blocks too?

    Is this because I created the website before they introduced these horrible blocks?

    Glad I could help you. Regarding the editor, if you don’t want to use the Gutenberg editor, you can go with the classic editor on your end.
