The Events Calendar and WP-Optimize

    Hello,

    I am having issues with WP Fastest Cache and The Events Calendar Plugin.
    I have excluded all directories of the plugin from caching, namely:

    /events/*
    /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar
    https://www.thiasoteatro.com/events/*
    /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/*

    However, the page does not display past events when clicking on the button.

    Any ideas as to how I might solve the issue?
    I believe I have to exclude the Events Calendar Plugin from Java caching altogether…

  • @tomhaze Can you please disable WP Fastest cache plugin and check if it helps to fix the issue?

    Thank you for answering.

    Yes, disabling the plugin solves the issue – now it is disabled and it works
    It also solves the issue refreshing the settings of the plugin or clearing the cache, but only for a short amount of time (4-6 hrs, I believe the time it takes to rebuild the cache).

    @tomhaze Sorry didn’t understand your last response “but only for a short amount of time” Can you please explain in detail?

    Yes, sorry.
    I meant that the page “events” works for about 4 hours if I clear the cache. Then if I check back it stops working again. So I believe it is a problem related with cache building.
    Now the plug-in has been disabled for a couple of days and everything still works.

    @tomhaze Can you please try to Preload the urls from WP-Optimize > Cache > Preload and check if the events page works?

    Hi @bornforphp, thanks again for answering.

    I ran the preload, waited for it to finish and the page does not work.
    If I then purge the cache the page works again.
    If you think this may help I am happy to give you the admin login to the website.
