The Events Calendar ignores custom template

    I have a website using The Events Calendar with custom template file, single-event.php to be specific.

    The website has been running well without any issue until version 4.2.5 & 4.2.6. Both versions ignore the template file. Nothing changed except updating the events calendar plugin. Simply reverting back to version 4.2.4 resolved the issue.

    Any specific reason or change in version 4.2.5 & 4.2.6 can cause this issue? Thanks!

    I assume you are already familiar with our Themer’s guide.

    What is probably going on is that there has been some changes in the structure of the code (most likely some function that is now deprecated).

    Your best bet would be to open both single-event.php side by side and compare them.
