    Hi,

I have installed the events calendar on two separate wordpress sites. =
Both sites use the same theme, and are pretty much identical in the =
coding. Yet, for some reason, only one works with the plugin.

    Ayfwest.org
    haytoug.org

Both site’s use the CHurch theme from Studiopress.

When I install it on Haytoug.org, it works fine, no problems.

But when I install it on Ayfwest.org, it takes over the whole site.
After the header and navbar, it shows a huge calendar within the
parameters of the wrap. No links work, nothing shows except the huge
calendar. I have attached an image of what it looks like. I even
disabled every single plugin and installed only that and it still didn’t =
    work.

I really badly want to use this plugin on ayfwest.org. Any help would be appreciated and definitely reciprocated with a donation.

Here’s a screenshot of the problem:

    Thank you.

I am having the same issue with 2 different sites as well. One works great and the other does not. Have you had any luck with the fix yet?

    I haven’t found a fix yet ??

Agreed. This is a very important issue. I want to use this plugin to supplement a site by making events listings available. I don’t want the entire site to be an Events Calendar.

    Looking for a fix.

    Hey Everyone,

Just a friendly reminder that the Dev Team will return from vacation in one week. I’m sure they will provide assistance when they return. In the meantime, does anyone else have any ideas?

    Thanks,

Thank you for the update, Noah. It’s nice knowing the team is away (I didn’t see that before). Raises trust.

thanks for the updates. looking forward to a fix.

Have you read the templating / customization instructions to have a personalized template set up which survives plugin updates? If you want a specific layout, you’ll have to define a template, first.

@nv1962 Ive seen that link, but without any real coding background, those instructions arent of much use to the average plugin user ??

Is there any way to have the calendar just post all information (such as the full calendar?) into a page the same way editing a page posts to it? I end up with no post background (the site’s main background only shows) and no sidebar on my site.

    Any help would be appreciated.

More information about home page hijacking.

Installed TEC on MU 2.9.1. Activated site wide. With a new blog, the front page appears as a full calendar. As soon as I change the theme to Thematic, calendar on main page goes away.

The category and single views look fine at /events/category/events/

    So no solutions?

Hi all, I have entered a bug on this issue and we are looking into it. Rest assured we will get back to you on this important issue within the next few days but we have no new information at this time.

If you are able to define a specific difference between configurations using the same theme and if you could list the names of the affected themes that would be very helpful to us.

    I am using Arthemia;

    Calendar takes over my theme…

Normally a ‘page’ should be displayed by calling the content into the main area of the page, then calling the sidebars. When viewing any pages related to this plugin:
    /events/
    /category/events/upcoming
    /category/events/month
    /events/sample-event/

All I get is the main background colour, and the calendar content… no sidebar.

    From my site:
How a regular ‘page’ should look:
    https://www.douglasapiaries.com/workshops/

How an event ‘page’ looks: (note the lack of sidebar… and grey background, instead of white-on-grey background)
    https://www.douglasapiaries.com/events/presentation-for-the-sudbury-foodshed-project/

How the calendar ‘page’ looks: (note the lack of sidebar… and grey background, instead of white-on-grey background)

    Hi,

First of all, Really nice Plugin!!!! Much appreciated.!
I have the same problem would be nice if there’s an fix.
    I’m using this template: https://themeforest.net/item/london-creative-portfolio-blog-wp-theme/full_screen_preview/70613

Whatever the problem is, it isn’t because of my theme. I tried it with the default themes, it still took over the entire page.

When this happens, nothing on the site works. Searches don’t go through, nothing on the navigation works, no links or categories. Instead, the calendar takes up the entire page below the header.

What is odd, is that i have the same theme running on another site and it works fine there.
