the excerpt? Can I have some with a link and others without a link included?

    Hello!

    I have a problem that is perplexing me, I am using the_excerpt to get posts in a category to show a little of them . . . how can I use get the excerpt but not get a link to this post??
    I do not want to remove this function from the rest of the the_excerpt that I am using on the website. Thanks
