• Hello community! I have tried almost everything. wp-config.php file has no spaces (refereing to the ?< problem), deactivated plugins, renamed as said above the folder plugins, tried to activate default theme by renaming active theme, replaced fresh copies of folders wp-admin & wp-includes, even did some tricks I saw in the database. Nothing seems to work! Any suggestions? This is a cry for help after 3 days troubleshooting this problem… The site is https://www.kontesidis.gr. Thank you in advance.

  • This is a W3 Validator from just now:

    https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kontesidis.gr%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0&ss=1

You need to edit .htaccess and remove the rules inserted by W3 Total Cache Plugin, then actually do the other steps above and also clear (not refresh page), clear local browser cache.

Please do all and report back.

Thnx for the response! If I paste the code inside the .htaccess file could you tell me what exactly to remove?

What I would do is this:

    rename the file to old.htaccess

    Try to access site.

If you can login, just redo permalinks setting and a new .htaccess file will be created with just the required wp rewrite rules.

Nope…Still the same. I renamed all 4 .htaccess files I found, they were all recreated, but the same white screen.

Sorry..To correct myself. Not all were recreated. Only the one in the public html folder.

Can you post that at pastebin, please?

We will then require the link to that pastebin…

What do you want me to post exactly? The contents of the original .htaccess file?

But… Your site works. When I looked yesterday at this thread, I thought you had simply forgotten to mark it as Solved, since your site was also working yesterday…

    Yes..Site works, but I can’t access the wp-admin page.

Oh, it was the admin ? Didn’t see it.

Can you view your site’s Apache error log ? Hopefully, there are clues in there regarding why you’re served a blank page when you want to access the admin of your site, being served a blank page is a form of error, and errors are logged, with the IP, the page that has been tried to access, and the date when it happened.
If no , you should ask your web host about it (please provide your IP as found on whatsmyip.net for instance and an approximative timestamp), it’s part of their job.

Hi sorry to but in- I am logged in as admin still- a few hours ago i was adding/removing google analytics code in header.php and I think i may have went into functions.php and changed something there by mistake in a hurry- next i got white screen of death https://www.luke-woods.com and even though I have replaced all the function.php code it is still white… bugger! I am not sure if I DID change anything… help.com ??

I have just read some and re installed the theme to 3.8 and re sinstalled all in one seo pack plug in- apart from that nothing else has changed apart from the above- i do wonder if i am blaming myself- been working adding and removing code the last few days with no probs..

Massively appreciate any help- IT dumb Englishman learning all the way… Luke

Hi Luke, here’s where you can create a new thread to discuss this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting#postform

    – Note that I’ve removed your other comments, please do create a new thread instead of posting on people’s threads
