• Hi

I’m unsure where to place this post. It was caused by the plugin “Wordfence” but I have a feeling that the error is more general… Somebody who isn’t an advanced “WordPress-user” may also have a solution.

Wordfence just spotted 2 issues with my website, which I told it to fix… The result is that I can’t access the website anymore (not the actual website nor the admin). I’m told “The File ‘wp-config.php already exists”…?

I’ve tried deleting the wp-config.php file without result. Dont worry I kept a backup of the file and uploaded it again.

What do I do? Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    – try deleting wordfence via FTP
    – if that does not help, check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.
