The German translation is too bad
-
Hi,
I want to inform you, that the new german translation look’s like a joke. I am really shocked.
It’s translated word to word and incoherently. Even the name of the Plugin and the company name of the plugin author is translated after activating the Plugin…:
“W3 Total-Cache” => “W3 Gesamt-Speicher”
“BoldGrid” => “FettGitter” – H?? Lol, why names are translated?
There are a lot of other wrong/stupid translations only in the submenu. for e.g.:
“About” => “Um” – This is wrong. It should be called “über”.
“Dashboard” => “Armaturenbrett” – Oh no…
“User Experience” => “Benutzererfahrung” – Its not complete wrong, but nobody would call it like that. Same here:
“Support” => “Die Unterstützung”
A translation is not necessary for many phrases. The English terms would be better.I had a look in the spanish translation file and it looks like it’s similar (not good) here.
Usually I want still use the english version, but it looks like it’s not possible to change the language, coz TotalCache choose automatically the language of the WP settings, right?
That’s really sad. I hope you will change it in the next time.Nevertheless, a huge thank you for your wonderful plugin!
