I just used the basic WP 6 Twenty Two and used the first page of that as my ‘Home’ Page.

It works okay with the nav, images, text etc., however I cannot find it in the admin Pages or any other area. I see all the other pages and I have linked to it in my nav menu.

This is the url when I am on the page..

    /wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template&postId=twentytwentytwo%2F%2Fhome`

It also does show up as the first when I use the full domain name as the url.

When I choose ‘Visit Site’ it takes me right there.

How can I access it from Pages or wherever ?

    Thanks

    oz

  • If you haven’t created a specific PAGE and configured it in SETTINGS => READING as your “Homepage”, then the homepage is a special page generated by WordPress automagically to display your LATEST POSTS. So you won’t find this listed in PAGES, since it’s not a PAGE you created.

If you want a more “static” page to be displayed on your homepage (instead of your latest blog posts), created your dedicated PAGE, then go to SETTINGS => READING, and under “Your Homepage Displays As”, select the page you created.

You didn’t created any page for your dedicated homepage. Now you are seeing homepage which is autometically generated your latest post by wordpress. So first you need to create a page after then need to select that page for hompage from the settings > Reading > Homepage.
