The image field in multiple "Our focus" widgets are all linked together

  • I have multiple “Our focus” widgets set up in the “focus” section. I can update the title and text of each independently, and when changes are applied, each title and text section remains separate.

    The problem is the “images” field. When I select an image for one instance of the widget, it changes the fields for the other instances of the widget as well. So if I want to change the text for those other instances, I have to remember to fix the “image” field to point to the correct image again, before I can save them.

    For example, I add one instance of the widget and choose “ImageA.png” before saving it. Then I add another instance and choose “ImageB.png” before saving the new one. If I go back to the first instance and change the text, then hit save, it’ll show “ImageB.png” because the field doesn’t retain the file path to “ImageA.png”.

    We’ve reported this issue to our developers and we will fix it in an upcoming release of the theme. For now I will recommend you to not use the image upload and put the image link directly in the input box.

    Thanks for the quick response! I’ll probably just deal with it for now – I like how the images look in the circles – but I look forward to it being fixed. Thanks again.
