The installation cannot be completed

Using coolhandle.com server, cPanel. I was initially attempting to move my WP site and files, etc. from GoDaddy to coolhandle. I installed WP on the existing domain but messed something up in the process.

So to start all over, I deleted all of the files and the database; all directories are empty now, etc. I click on WordPress to do a fresh installation and it says ‘Current Installations: None.”

But when I try to install it again, I’m getting the error:
“The installation cannot be completed. — You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.”

So I tried doing an Uninstall but WP says there’s nothing TO uninstall.

So now I’m in a loop. How do I reinstall WP into an empty directory on this domain that has no database associated to it, and even WP says there are no installations while at the same time telling me there can’t be more than one script?

I really need to get this site up and running but I am now totally confused. In the meantime, I have the new domain on CH redirecting to the existing site on my GD server, so the site it live, it’s just not where it’s supposed to be.

If anyone knows of a video tutorial that will get me out of this jam, I’ll be eternally grateful.
