The last rules update for the Wordfence Web Application Firewall was unsuccessfu

This problem still exists. The updates were useless. It’s starting to get REALLY annoying.

Hi, I was same problem. My webser is managed with Plesk and in PHP version I changed from application FPM with Apache to application FPM with NGINX and I could refresh rules.

There should be an option to disable this message. It’s annoying!

I’m here because I have been seeing this warning too. It is very distressing to have a false alert of this kind on such an important process.

I don’t want to see false alarms from my security code. I don’t want to have to check the file update times to see if the rules have been applied. AND, if the verification test is that simple, why isn’t your plugin able to do it?

Ever heard the story of the boy that cried wolf? Are the other alerts from Wordfence reliable? Which ones should i trust?

For everyone wondering why WFence is not responding to this thread, it’s because this thread is marked Resolved. You must start a new thread. I did and WFence is helping me out.

Simple add recursive permission 775 to all wflogs directory and wordfence-waf.php ??

Just hit this error on a site. WF had been installed and running fine for 12 months and now can’t get rid of this message. Manual updating ‘appears’ to work, but message comes back again every day.

@markxkr Unfortunately your comment will not be seen by the WordFence team, you have to open a new thread for them to get visibility. WordPress forum rules seem to be one issue by one person per thread, no “me too”s allowed.
