I have just updated to the latest version 1.30 and I have received a FATAL ERROR message that has deactivated the plugin and does not allow to activate it again.

This is the message that appears:

Warning: require(/home/estudi66/public_html/estudiodecompras.com/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/lib/composer/platform_check.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/estudi66/public_html/estudiodecompras.com/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/lib/composer/autoload_real.php on line 25

What am I supposed to do now? Do I remove the plugin and reinstall it? If I do, will I lose my settings?

Yes, it broke the plugin. Please fix it at the earliest. Its because of composer auto load.

Same problem here. To make the site work again, you can temporarily rename advanced-ads folder (wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads) via FTP or upload a backup if you have one (if you don’t, that’s a perfect example why you should always have one).

    I’m on WordPress 5.7.2 and PHP 8.0.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reporting and providing a quick fix to this.

Please find the version 1.29. from the Advanced Ads plugin at the end of this page: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/advanced-ads/advanced/

We are currently looking into this.

    Pardon for the trouble caused!

    Best regards,

With the latest plug-in I get:
Warning: array_keys() expects parameter 1 to be array, bool given in /home/customer/www/blog.computercreatief.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/classes/ad_group.php on line 290

Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /home/customer/www/blog.computercreatief.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/classes/ad_group.php on line 298

That doesnot seem right. Please advice. At hte moment I deactiveated the plugin.

    Hi hafred,

    Thanks for reporting this.

Can you please clarify for me on which ad, group, and placement combination this happened?

I would love to look into this more closely but was unable to reproduce this jet.

If you like, you can also send me a short video of the issue and your settings.

    Best regards,
    Henning

It’s difficult to tell what it is. When you go to the blog now. You can see where it appears: at the top of the post. The ads are there but the code at the top…??? blog.computercreatief.nl

I think it’s a conflict between my plug-in from Siteground, Siteground optimizer and advances ads.

This has nothing to do with this plugin or the SGO plugin. There’s an issue with Google bot networks failing to resolve some of our IPs. You can follow the SiteGround Users group on Facebook for updates on that matter.

Can I solve the problem with the information on Facebook? Should I contact Siteground?

Sorry my bad ?? If you can’t have this solved, you can post a thread in our forum (SGO) and we will look into it.

    (@hafred)

At the moment I can only solve it by deaactivating one of the two plug-ins…

    Hi hafred,

You can confirm plugin conflicts like this by using the Health Check plugin. This helps to disable plugin while the site is still running.

I can now confirm the issue on your articles.

Can you please let me know which combination of ads, groups, and placement settings is involved here?

@hristo-sg thanks for jumping into this as well!

    Best regards,
    Henning

OK. What I did so far. I went back to a back-up that did not have this problem. Today I updated to the new version of WP. Everything stayed working, so no code at the beginning of a post. I made a back-up. I updated the advanced adds plug-in to version 1.30.1. The code at the beginning of the posts appeared. So I went back to 1.29.
Strange thing is: for most op my posts there’s no banner at the beginning. The strange code does not affect the ads I have placed in my post. So…. What now?
