    Hello,
I’m using the Events Shortcodes For The Events Calendar plugin.

I’m using the following shortcode to show 50 past events, but it only shows 10.
    What to do ?

    [events-calendar-templates category="all" template="default"

    style="style-1" date_format="default" start_date="" end_date=""

    limit="50" order="DESC" hide-venue="no" socialshare="no" time="past"]

    Kind regards,

    Adrien

    Hi @adriwp

I used the shortcode you shared above and it returned me 50 past events.
Could you check the number of past events you have?
Also, it would be great if you can provide us complete screen recording of the scenario so that we can get to know the issue at your end.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi @shubham0095,

Please see below, the screen recording you asked for.

As you can see, whether I set 50 or 3 events to show, it always shows 10.
I’m using the Divi theme 4.21 alongside WordPress 6.4.2.

Could you please provide me with some help ?

    Kind regards

    Hi @adriwp

If you add shortcode in code block/widget then just 10 events is shown but if you add that code in text editor then all the events as you passed in limit is shown
    Please watch the video.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi?@shubham0095,

Thank you, I was already using the text module.
I now fixed it. The problem was the formatting of the shortcode itself.
I think there were some weird spaces/line breaks in it, and it couldn’t be read properly. I rewrote it, removes spaces and line breaks and now the limit attribute is taken into account.

One question, as we’re talking about that attribute :
What is the max number of events possible to show ?

And, is this dependent on the version of The Events Calendar plugin (free vs paid version) ?

    Kind regards,
    Adrien

    Hi there,

Glad to know it worked for you.
The Event Shortcode block shows 100 events on a page.
If you are using it as a normal shortcode then you can set the limit as per your number of events.

    Thanks & Regards.

    Hi?@shubham0095,

Thank you. Please tell me if i understand correctly. (I’m using the normal shortcode, not the block).

If I have 300 events, and I set the limit to 300, it will show them all. Is that right ?

In other words, there is no maximum number of events allowed to be shown. Correct ?

    Kind regards,

    Adrien

    Hi there,

Yes, You are right. In block maximum limit is 100. But if you are using that as a normal shortcode then there is no maximum limit. You can get as many events as you want by adding limit in shortcode.

    Thanks
