The logic of ‘show more result’

Hi,

I got a question when setting ‘show more results’ option.
In ajax search pro, the ‘show more …’ button only appears when there are more matched results. After using infinite scroll to request more results several times, this button will disappear when all results are shown in the screen.
However, in ajax search lite, this button never disappears, even when all search results are shown. At least I want to know if there are actually more results, because ajaxsearch lite users do not have infinite scroll. I want to avoid using wordpress built-in search, so it’s important to know the actual count of results, so that I can adjust a proper ‘max. results’.
