    Hi there,

    I’m using this plugin on one of my client’s websites. The issue is that when the customer tries to do credit/debit card payment, they see an error “the merchant’s account is not able to process transactions”.

    Now I know that this plugin require a PayPal Pro Merchant Account to operate properly. However when my client inquired from PayPal they told her that if both the buyer and the seller originate from the same country (UK in this case) then they can have credit/debit card payment via PayPal even if the seller only has a simple PayPal business account.

    My question is that does this plugin absolutely still requires a PayPal Pro Merchant account in my case?

    Yes.

    Please contact PayPal and request them to activate PayPal pro in your account. Then use the correct API keys in the addon’s settings.
