The new theme viewer is launched!

  • The new WordPress theme viewer has launched. After many hours of work and a lot of coding it is finally ready, all packed with new and great features:

    • Theme rating
    • User theme upload
    • Theme commenting
    • All tagged
    • Download counter
    • Fantastic sorting options
    • Automatic theme snapshotting
    • Live test run

  • Hi. I have uploaded my theme on https://themes.wordpress.net. Then I registered there. Now I want to update my theme. I wrote here (https://themes.wordpress.net/contact) 2 times, but still no answer.

    How can I update my theme?

    thomas is working hard, he will get to you, but he’s got a lot to wade through.

    I would also like to thank Thomas and the gang for an amazing additional benefit to the community. Krivetsky I too had to wait for Thomas to get around to providing access to update (especially as our Guru Manager Theme initially used the database) so showed errors on the “Test Run”.

    However I was provided with access and was able to sort out the problem and delighted with the download rate. Be patient and grateful for all the work gone into the Theme site. Without it we would still be sloshing around in the depths of a Google Search ??

    I love the theme viewer. I have some themes to add. I too, like Krivetsky, tried to contact the webmaster proceeding user registration, but still no reply. But if the webmaster is busy then I am happy to wait my turn …

    hi there, the viewer is neraly 48h offline, not reachable in my case. thought it might be usefull to post this here.

    how to install new themes in wordpress?

    upload them with an ftp-tool to your online /offline space, activate them logged in as an admin, in the admin panel – thats all

    sometimes its needed to create a new folder, only sometimes.

    yourspace.com/wp-content/themes this is the root

    I have uploaded a theme to use on my site, then in the Admin panel under Presentation I chose the new theme from the pull-down menu under Theme Editor. My site is NOT refreshing, however, to use this theme. What’s wrong? Is this tied to something going on with WP or am I doing something wrong? This has worked before without an issue. Please help! Thanks.
