I updated the plugin as soon I saw the notification. Now I notice the site to be down. (see message below). I simply removed this plugin folder and all worked fine (except ofcourse I see shortcodes in many places).

Can I revert back to the older version (which worked just fine!)?

Here is what the site looked after the update:

Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.

    Please help! Thanks.

Ok. I don’t know how things work, but after deleting the folder (Plugin folder of Master Slider that is), I put it back.
    Interestingly now the site works!!!

There WAS a problem and it got fixed. I have shared how. I have no idea why that would work. Anyone can shed some light?

BTW, I must add ?? I do love the customisations of this plugin and its simplicity!

    Dear Nikhil,

That’s so strange, no one reported such issue so far and thanks for reporting. I am eager to know any other feedback or workaround for this issue.

    Hi,
also my site had the same problem, and following the solution of Nikhil Varma, it returned to works! Thanks a lot!

    BTW, great plugin!

The solution (actually unexplained freak steps that seemed to work) is no longer effective! My site is now down again, and continues to show the earlier message.

Is it working fine for you Arianna Fra?

google the message tells of two solutions to the problem: 1. Restart wordpress (server) 2. Enable extensions in php.ini file.

Unfortunately, being a non-programmer, despite some sense and search I could not locate this file, or a means to restart the server. Have raised a ticket with my provider to help restart the server.

Though this whole thing “seems” to have been caused by this recent update, I cannot say anymore that it is due to this plugin. Neither can I say it is not!

Any help to sort the issue will be a blessing.
