    WordPress 6.6.1?
    Yoast 23.2

I did the site and plugin updates but now I can’t update the Yoast title and descriptions options. They are completely gone.

I tried to go back to a previous version but to no avail, now I cant see the option to edit titles and descriptions back.

    Please help.

    Hi @eportugues

Thak you for the screenshot, I noticed you are facing blank metabox.

A?blank meta box issue occurs due to a JavaScript conflict. We’d like you to perform a conflict check to help us determine the next steps while saving you time.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

thanks, I disabled the plugins (there aren’t many) and moved the site to a clean and new theme.

I removed a couple of custom lines from my functions file.

Then I went back to my original theme and it was fixed. I really don’t know why it was fixed and I would like to understand

It was likely fixed because of what you mentioned that you did:

I removed a couple of custom lines from my functions file.
