Hi, do I actually need this extension?
If so, is there any code that I can use in the function.php page instead?

Also I have a question about indexing:
Apply noindex to Media – attachment -> is enabled. Does that mean that the images will not be indexed?

    Thanks

    Hello!

I developed that extension so that you don’t have to do any research, coding, or updating ??

In any case, you can inspect the source of each extension; it’s linked in the sidebar of the extension page on our website.

WordPress creates media “pages” for each file you upload. These pages are wrapped by your theme and just show the media element. This WordPress feature is quite useless for both users and search engines.

The noindex option for Media pages is therefore enabled by default, and it will prevent robots from indexing those pages. It does not prevent robots from indexing the media itself.

WordPress (used to?) wraps each media item you inserted with a link to the Media page. The Origin extension redirects that link to the attached post the media item originated from, or the actual media item if none exists.

I hope this explains everything well ?? Cheers!
