The page builder automatically set in 2 columns

The page builder is automatically set in 2 columns. I can’t find where to change that, so my image shows up small on the left side. It’s supposed to be the same width as the page and centered.
Also and apostrophe and a bracket show up after the image no matter what I do. Please help.
