• Hello,
Im using MAMP on a pc with windows 10. Ive worked with my site for a while when it suddenly couldnt be found. From the MAMP webstart page i klick on the link to “MY website”, there I see the folder to my wordpress site, so the server works. But when i klick on the link to the site i get the message: The page on localhost could not be found There was no web page on the URL: http: // localhost / tusenochenknopp /.

So I google it and found a posible soluton using the ip adresss 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost. I got one step further and my site opend, but there was no pictures and no css.

Is there anyone who have had the same problem or have a solution?
    Thanx in advance.

    Jesper

  • I have experienced things like this a lot.

For me, the solution is in Settings-> General, in the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) sections. I just add the slash (/) end of the link.

Do you know where i can find the file where I can change that info. I cant get to Settings->General?

    Yes, Settings -> General.

At the end of the URL add a slash.

Hopefully it can solve your problem.

I can only make changes in the php-files and in the database, not in wp-admin. Do you know in which php file or which table I can do the changes you are talking about?

I don’t understand why you can’t login into the dashboard area.

But if not through dashobard. You can try using phpMyAdmin on your localhost.

Go to the options table and add a slash from there -> site url option_value

Be careful not to change anything else.

    And first backup the database.

Hi thank you for taking your time to try to solve my problem.
If i could log in to the dashboard i wouldnt get the error message “The page on localhost can not be found” on a blank page.
I just tried the database but that didnt help.
    Any other suggestion?
