• Guys,

I paid the PRO version for one site license (the one at 97 bucks) of the plugin but it is full of bugs and doesn’t do what it says it does. It seems the plugin is not fully tested and not ready for the sale. Here are few things that I ran into for the automated “feature”:

    1. It doesn’t send the emails properly. Some are sent, some aren’t.
    2. When webinar is in countdown mode (evergreen mode, replay), the video is not protected. Anyone could just right click and save the video.
    3. If the browser is refreshed, the video starts all over again.
    4. The CTA doesn’t work. I set mine to appear at minute 147 in my 156 minutes webinar, and guess what.. the CTA didn’t appear. So I was forced to make it appear at minute 1 and this way it worked.
    5. The Incentive Box doesn’t work, it doesn’t show.
    6. The CTA is a joke in terms of aestethics also. A long and thin coloured stripe with some small text ??
    7. All video players are set in a so called cinematic ratio if I guess, so your 16:9 video will have black side bars.
    8. Support: don’t recommend. Very supportive until you buy the paid version, than they just vanish.

And believe me, there are a lot of other things that doesn’t work, including the translation (if you translate the days of the week it messes all registration process), not having analytics in backend, the previews are joke and so on.

Conclusion: I’m sorry I paid the money for the so called Pro version. I don’t recommend this plugin. If you have extra money buy another system.

    Horatiu,

I found it weird that you took the time to write us a bad review, but don’t took the time to respond on your support ticket to fix the issues you are having with the plugin.

A big part of the issues on your list (4,5,6) are the result of a conflict on your WordPress environment. It looks like your theme was conflicting, and you said that you would test that. Unfortunately you never responded to our last email about that query, and we still don’t know if your theme is conflicting so we can create a fix for that.

We go miles for our users (paid customers or not), so your story about us vanishing doesn’t really relate to the real world. I’m sure everyone who has reached out to our support department can confirm so. Why otherwise would I respond to your query so fast on a Saturday night? I really hope that you can just man up and respond to our email with the result of your test (instead of leaving a 1 star review here), so we can continu to assist you to make our plugin work on your environment.

Also, some things on your list are never addressed to us, so if we don’t know your wishes or issues, we can’t give you answers or release a fix for it.
You never asked/mentioned us something about the translation, nor did you mention you had problems with the player ratio. In version 2.8 the language files are updated, so it should be possible to add the Romanian translation to it. Did you read the changelog of 2.8, did you test it in 2.8? If you still have issues with that, then please refer to the support department, thats why we have a support department.

The thin CTA is in all probability also the result of the theme conflict which you are having. It shouldn’t be ‘thin with small text’.
Did you know it’s possible to show different kind of CTA’s? There is also a CTA field available, which you can configure to your own needs (for example insert your own button). For your convenience I have added the link with more information about the CTA for you here:
    https://www.wpwebinarsystem.com/features/call-to-actions/

Like we mentioned earlier to you, our new version (with the adjusted media player) will be released soon. We are wrapping things up and are doing the latest tests.
For your convenience, I can also add a screenshot of our conversation on support to this thread to refresh your memory. No problem, just let me know!

Thank you for taking the time to write us, I’m looking forward to your response on the support ticket which is still open on our support department, waiting for you to answer. Of course I understand your frustration, but I would appreciate it if you can adjust your review, we are working hard to make this plugin better for our users, and the way you handled this review is a little bit disappointing since you didn’t give us the chance to assist you with all of your issues.

Thanks in advance, and enjoy your weekend!

    Hi Lucy,

Don’t get me wrong. I usually give good rating for good products. For instance, due to your bad plugin I was willing to pay another 500 $ for a webinar system that works like charm right out of the box.

No complaints, no bugs, no glitches, everything’s just perfect like it should be.

I took my time to write the 1 Star Review for WP Webinar System in a late Saturday too.. because I was totally unsatisfied with your product and your lack of support. And I’ll explain down further some issues.

You present your product on your site in a nice way, and one could think it is a fully developed product, but once one gets his hands on it, problems start to appear.

Although my days of the week translation in Romanian messed the system, I also tried another translation in Dutch, as I know this is your native tongue ?? But the same thing, plugin messes the whole registration process.

Yes, I’m using The7 by DreamTeam as of WP Theme, being one of the most respected, trusted and versatile theme on the market. You say your plugin conflicts with the7 theme. I switched the theme to the very basic one “Twenty Sixteen” following your recommendation, but still your plugin doesn’t work properly.

Support: Although I wrote you many times regarding my issues, you never took action, instead you just delayed me and selling the illusion that you’re working on a new upgraded version that i’ll get it one day.

Guys, a marketing rule of thumb is to sell a product when it’s a product.

So, my Expectations raised by your nice and professionally presentation of the plugin didn’t meet the plugin’s Performance.

My review of 1* for WP Webinar System is for preventing others from buying a product that is not fully developed and thus having a bad experience.

I’ll be happy to give a 5* rating when the plugin meets its own promises. Couldn’t be more simple than that ??

    Just let me know.

Like I said: there is a conflict on your environment and “It looks like” your theme was conflicting. Since you finally tested it, (thanks!) it turns out isn’t your theme but another conflicting plugin. There are also 2 specific questions in the respons I sent you on October 7th. Please answer them by mail, so we can pick up this conversation to assist you further. It would be nice if you would give us the chance to fix it for you.

Taking action on your issues (troubleshooting and creating a fix) is a separate support ticket, then the feature request you made regarding the player. You are mixing those two things up. We couldn’t continu troubleshooting without your response.
The improved player is a new functionality which will be released soon with our next big update (which we never mentioned a specific date for). So no, its not an “illusion”. Sorry you feel that way. We actually do a lot of tests to make sure it works on as much environments as it can and make it backwards compatible. That obviously takes time.

We have thousands of users who are using WP WebinarSystem without problems, so its not correct to say that we released a product that isn’t tested or that its a scam. It’s just unfortunate that there are issues on your environment. A plugin is always in development, and if there are any bugs or issues, we make sure to fix them. We are and will be releasing new features regularly (read our blog), because thats what you do when you are developing software. So indeed, this plugin is never fully developed, just like thousands other plugins which are continuously in development.

That being said, we are still ready to fix the issues you are having. You just have to respond to the open questions I mailed you so we can continue troubleshooting and create a fix. Then I hope you can experience our great support again, like you did before.

Love to see you back on the support department Horatiu!

    Hi Lucy,

If your plugin would do whatever it advertises, then wouldn’t be a problem at all.

But, as I mentioned earlier, due to all kinds of theme conflicting (although i switched back to the default theme), plugins conflicting (although I remember having yours and the default wordpress ones, so nothing fancy there), lack of immediate support, lack of consistency, and many other problems, I was willing to pay extra 500 $/y for a very good, stable, and mature webinar system that WORKS RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.

WP Webinar System, despite its name, is not a system, more of a try-to-be one or in beta testing.

If you ask for money for something, you should deliver what you promise. You never put the client to test, and test, and test again when the only thing he needs is to put that product directly to work for him. One doesn’t buy a webinar system to put it somewhere in a computer folder, proud to have it. One would install it and put it to work to make money with the help of it.

So, don\t get me wrong. We all do mistakes sometimes, but what makes a great support is to admit when you’re wrong.

In this case, you were wrong, the plugin is not delivering what it says it delivers.

I never asked you for a refund, because I know for sure you simply wouldn’t do that. Or am I wrong?

As a conclusion, it would be nice for you to have me refunded for my bad experience with your product.

Thank you and good luck in keeping happy the other thousands of clients. I wasn’t one of them :(( Unlucky me :(( Maybe, who knows, one day your product would be as mature as other systems out there.

I haven’t purchased the plugin yet, but I intend to, if my boss decides to start doing webinars. I’ve emailed and chatted with Lucy a number of times and she’s been very professional, answered all questions. I don’t know everything about this situation, only what I read, however, what she said is true about plugins not functioning correctly due to environment issues. I’m not a coder or developer, but I’ve also run into the problem with other plugins. I think they have a 14 day refund policy and I’ve learned from past experience not to buy anything until I’m ready to use it. And Horatiu, most companies wouldn’t be responding to trouble tickets on a Saturday night unless they care about their customers. It sounds to me that Lucy is trying to help you out but you’re upset things didn’t work right out of the box. It happens, even to the best of plugins.. Look at WooCommerce itself for example. The most developed shopping cart plugin and it has all kinds of problems.
