    Hi,

I installed the plugin, placed my Pixel ID, included admin to see the pixel, ticked the box ‘activate plugin general settings’ – and it doesn’t work.

When I display the page source I can see that the plugin added some code to the <head> section, my pixel ID is there as well, but the Facebook Pixel Helper doesn’t detect anything.

I tested other plugin to see if it works at all and is does. but the other plugin don’t have standard events, so I’m back here.

Something is clearly wrong here. Anyone able to help?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I’ve beet on your site and I can see the pixel with Pixel Helper.

Make sure that you don’t test your site with an excluded role (like admin), or that you don’t use some ad blocking software.

By the way, we have an article covering this scenario here: https://www.pixelyoursite.com/no-facebook-pixel-why

I love your fast answers. Thank you.

It was caused by the ad blocking software.

But now very important question arises: are people with ad blocking software going to be tracked by Pixel or not?

I assume that they won’t, the same for people that have strict privacy settings for their FB accounts. They probably won’t see your ads either.

    Thank you,

    One last question.
When I paste the Facebook Pixel code manually to my <head> tag, then Facebook Pixel Helper detects it even with ad blocking software turned on.

But when using your plugin, the Facebook Pixel Helper detects the Pixel only when ad blocking software is turned off.

That would mean that manually pasted Pixel code is not affected by the ad blocking software while your plugin is. Is that the case?

That’s something I have to investigate.

According to Facebook, “Your Facebook pixel may not fire if the user has an ad blocker implemented to the browser.”

Thank you for the answers. If it helps I’m using uBlock Origin.

    Okay, I know what’s wrong.

When pasting the Pixel code manually the Facebook Pixel Helper was detecting it (you could see the number on the extension) but when you clicked the extension it showed: “The Facebook pixel code on this page didn’t load, so no information was sent to Facebook.”

So the outcome for your plugin and manual installation is the same when using ad blocking software. No information is sent. Which is kind of good news, because it means your plugin works correctly.

    Cheers,

    It makes perfect sense.

Thanks for the update, it’s really helpful.
