• Update 9/29/2014
    Someone with Nelio Software has been working with me through the forum and came up with inserting the following formatting into the css file
    ‘.widget_neliofp_widget article .featured-image.alignleft {
    margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px;
    }’
    This straightens out the image problem with the plugin.

    They have been quite responsive with the fix. My hope is that this fix is in the next upgrade. I generally don’t like customizing the css file as it all disappears if you change themes.

    However, they get 2 extra stars for the effort they put in to fix the issue.
    Now it works as one would expect.

    This plugin almost works.

    I was looking for something to replace “sticky posts” as they have a tendency to clog up the front page. I was looking for a plugin that allowed me to select individual posts to place in the sidebar.

    Nelio Featured Posts does that, and I even like the way that it does it. However, the function to allow a thumbnail of the featured image for the post blows up the whole plugin if you have it selected AND that function is selected by default..

    So, there is a bug.

    Sadly, posting the problem has resulted in no response after two days. For that reason I have given this review.

    This plugin does the basics of what I want. I had hoped for the graphical component as that was the default function. I continue to use the plugin as is, but it does not give the level of highlight to featured articles that one would wish.

    First of all, I’d like to thank you for using our plugin, as well as for the time you took to comment on it and fill a bug. Also, I’d like to apologize for not answering before; last week we were quite busy at Nelio and I had no chance to look into the issue you mention.

    Since you also added a support comment, I’ll discuss the details of that issue there. I hope I can fix the issue with the featured image soon, so that you can use the plugin properly.

    Nelio IS working with me on the problem under the forum post below:
