The plugin attempts to contact some AWS hosts. For what purpose?
-
Fantastic plugin, extremely helpful! ??
Our webserver is behind a firewall that restricts access to the outside.
The restrict-user-access plugin attempts to contact some IPs on Amazon Web Services:For example: 52.25.7.151, 52.40.43.31, among others.
Those connection attempts fail, resulting in time-outs, which negatively affects
the performance of the site.I’m guessing there is a legitimate reason behind this, but what is it?
What are the DNS Names of the services running on AWS hosts that are being contacted?
We would need to know that to effectively allow those connections in our Firewall. Thanks,
Christoph
