    Hi,

the plugin was working properly 1 week or 2 ago but now when I’m logging to WordPress it says that WP-SES is inactive.

I activate it and it seems to work well… I send a test message and it gets delivered.

However, a few minutes later it seems like the plugin is inactive again?

What’s up? Have you already seen this issue?

    Thanks / Merci

    Mathieu

    I’m experiencing the same thing.

    That is very strange !!!

I’ll look into it and try to replicate the issue.

Thanks Sylvain, we’re having the same issue as well. Was working for a month, then today, inactive then active, back and forth after we re-activate.

Yep, I’m having the same problem. It says the plugin is not active and when I go ahead and activate the plugin it then it tells me it IS active, but as soon as I come back to the plugin, it says inactive again.

There’s also a persistent message across the top of the Dashboard:

WP SES – Simple Email Service is not fully activated. Please check it’s config: Settings → WP SES.

    Hi,

Obviously, there is a bug somewhere.
I can’t replicate the issue on my setups, and can’t see why the plugin would deactivate by itself.

On automatic update, It may do so (the wordpress update does deactivate the plugin before updating) , or if another plugin does reroute wp_email function ; but I can see nowhere else in the code where it deactivates itself without a user submitting settings.

    I’m digging.
Please continue to post on this thread if you experience the same thing, or if you found something explaining.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

A user told me this issue was fixed by replacing Google Analytics by Yoast with WP Google Analytics.

Do you guys use Google Analytics by Yoast ?
If yes, please try de-activating it and let me know if it works.

I’ll dig further to identify the potential conflict.

Yes we do – we’ll do a test on our dev sites, and see what happens and get back to you. Lots of ppl use that that Google Analytics by Yoast plugin.

    (@sylvaindeaure)

Yup. I’m not saying to throw it away, but if this is the reason wp-ses deactivates, at least I’ll know where to look or request a fix on yoast’s plugin.

We are experiencing the same thing. After clicking on the Activate button, it will deactivate a few minutes later.

We do not have Google Analytics by Yoast installed.

It is happening across the board with all of our sites. We as the web host install W3 Total Cache, Ninja Firewall and Fast Secure Contact Form on all of our sites. Customers may add various plugins depending on their needs.

    Thanks. ??

Hmm.. I deactivated and re-activated the plugin and that seemed to do the trick. So far the WP SES remains active and is not showing:

    W

P SES – Simple Email Service is not fully activated. Please check it’s config: Settings → WP SES.

After a few minutes. I’ll check back later in the day.

Nope – checked this afternoon and all the WP SES have

WP SES – Simple Email Service is not fully activated. Please check it’s config: Settings → WP SES

    It’s deactivating for some reason.

    Please advise.

    Ok.

Just pushed a small update that auto-activate everytime.
As I can’t replicate the issue myself, it’s the best I can do to see if it solves the deactivation issue.

Please update and check if it’s ok.
I’ll then rethink the user interface and documentation if needed.

The drawback is, if the settings are not correct, no mails will be sent.

Waiting for your feedback, thanks !

    Hi,

I’ve tried your updated version and the plugin still says it’s not activated. However, the email seems to go through amazon.

So I would say it’s good but I’ll keep an eye on this topic to stay updated.

Thanks again Sylvain for your plugin.

Thanks Sylvain. I’ll be sure to donate – thanks for your responsiveness and work.

After updating, the plugin shows deactivated again but the emails are coming from Amazon SES.

If you need access let me know. email me at ras at koomohost dot com.

I take it back. The emails are not going through Amazon SES after awhile.
