I have set the minimum amount of hours between article sharing to 10 and the number of messages to share at 1, yet this plugin sometimes tweets up to 4 different articles at once.

I don’t want this happening as I am afraid it will clog my Twitter feed, but I don’t know what to do about it.

    Anyone can help?

    Hi @tatianamk,

Have you installed any plugin like this https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-missed-schedule/ ?

    Best regards.

No, I have never heard of it. I do have the editorial calendar though but that can’t be it can it?

    Hi @tatianamk,

Can you please send us a list with all plugins that you use?

    Best regards.

I’m having the same problem with 3 or 4 tweets going out when I have only configured for one. I have happily used TOP and ROP for years, and never has this problem. But now I think about it, I had all my blogs changed over from WP Super Cache to using W3 Total Cache a month or so back. Could this be the problem?

    Hi,

This can be a problem, can you try to deactivate it for a while and see if the issue persist ?

@bobsled I am also having the same problem you are and use WP Super Cache. I was thinking of switching to W3 Total Cache though. Did you deactivate that plugin and see if it fixed your issue?

@canadianangelxo Hi. I changed to WP Total Cache nearly two months ago and have had no problems at all with TOP Pro for the last few weeks. But I’m not sure it was a cache problem. There has been a couple of updates of the TOP plugin recently that may have solved the issue. But as I’m not using Super Cache now, it’s hard to say. If you are still having problems, a change of cache plugin might help.

Well that’s good to hear! @bobsled I’m scared to install WP Total Cache again as the last few times I tried it kept breaking my site. I had to log into the back end in my host and deactivate it from there because as soon as it installed, my site went blank, I couldn’t access anything ?? Maybe I will give it another go…

You’re right. It’s not an easy change over. I had my WP developer do the job for me.

Well I installed in about an hour ago now and everything seems to be fine this time round ?? Knock on wood! LOL! Hopefully it fixes the issue of tweeting a lot for me as well. ??

    Issue resolved!

    Thanks bob for helping here!

Hello, I’m sorry, just to clarify, was it the cache plugin that prevents us from changing the time intervals between tweets? I installed this plugin last night and wanted to change the interval to every 9 hours, but it is still being scheduled every 4 hours. I tried resetting the plugin this morning and none of my edits (including using bit.ly, title and content, etc) seem to be going through. It’s sticking to the default settings (every 4 hours, title only, no bitly, etc). What should I do ? Thanks!

    Hi,

After reset, you need to update all the settings and save again. In order to reset the cron ( 4 hours thing), is enough just to stop/start the plugin

@ladyguerra I had that issie once and unistalled the plugin and reinstalled and it fixed the issue. It’s possible though if you are using WP Super Cache that it might be causing a conflict with the Revive Old Post plugin as it was with me. I have since switched to WP Total Cache and everything has been working wonderfully for the last few days now. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling Revive Old Post and switching to WP Total Cache. Also make sure when you set your settings in Revive Old Post to the 4 hours interval that you want that you are hitting ‘save’ afterwards ??
