Hi Mark. I don’t know why, but all of a sudden the Waymark Maps are not shown anymore in my website. Or rather: the map IS shown, but the GPX track is not visible anymore, the maps is centered on a random location, the basemap is not the one I decided in my settings.
I am at WordPress 6.02 (still not updated), Waymark 0.9.21 (still not updated)…

see what I see when I am editing the map:

See what I see when I “view” the map:

ALl my production website is showing maps like this. See for example at the very bottom of this page: https://www.sentierigressoney.it/sentieri/gressoney-saint-jean-sentiero-14-saint-jean-trinite/

I am using Enfold theme. To be sure that it was not related to any customization I’ve made, I switched my Staging environment to a standard Astra theme, and created a new page with only a map inside. Same result.

If you want I can provide you, by email, username and password to access the staging environment.
It is quite a bad news for me, my website is hosting one of your maps in almost every page…

I hope you have an idea of what could have happened. I am really clueless.
    Bye!

(Previous message: of course I meant “Hi Joe”! I would help if you renamed the plugin “WayJoe” ?? )

I’ve solved it by installing an old version of the plugin. The one I’ve found here:

    https://github.com/morehawes/waymark/tree/topic-basemap_max_zoom

It’s the one you prepared for me to include the “zoom limit”.

Do you have any clue? Apparently, both the latest version of the plugin and the previous one were behaving the same…

One thing I also noticed is that in this “old” version the Attribution is not saved anymore. See here:

    Weird, so weird…

The same problem in my site https://exosports.gr/collection/gravel/
    Any solution?

    Hi @mistermagoo8691 / @skargn,

Thanks for reaching out. I have just released a new version (v0.9.23) which *should* resolve this.

Please do let me know if this is not the case for you.

    Cheers,

    Joe

It is working: I can see the GPX, the basemap is the one I’ve selected…. but I still cannot save the Attribution on each Basemap in the Waymark settings.

In addition to that, in the same section I don’t have the “Zoom limit” value anymore. I thought you’ve added it in a recent version of the plugin. Am I wrong?

Thanks for the prompt fix: I am remaining on the “old version”, as I need the zoom limit…

    Working. Thank you!

Hi Joe. Back to my latest message, is it correct that I cannot see the zoom level in the settings of the latest version of the plugin?
I thought you included it in all versions after the “first” 0.9.19-a1… well, in the latest version it was not there, and therefore I had to go back to version 0.9.19-a1 to get that setting back.

Second, I cannot save the attribution anymore, for all my basemaps. Neither in the latest version of the plugin, nor in the 0.9.19-a1. Both in staging and production. I enter the attribution in a basemap setting, I save the settings, I reopen it… bam, the attribution field is empty.

    Hi @mistermagoo8691,

Please create new topics instead of posting like this.

As discussed here there was a bug with the max zoom feature that I have not been able to resolve.

This sounds like your Settings got corrupted, possibly because of a bug in a previous version. The “easiest” way to fix this is to delete the Settings and start over. If you re-enter the exact same Names/Labels for your Types then everything should work correctly.

If you have access to your database I recommend after a *full backup* deleting the “Waymark_Settings” row from wp_options table. This will delete all of your Settings, leaving your Maps and Collections intact.

Please create a new thread if you need further assistance.

    Cheers,

    Joe

Thanks Joe. I did not create another thread because I thought that the missing “zoom” settings was related to the original issue that generated this thread. It was not clearto me that the “zoom feature” did not enter the official release due to that bug on the elevation, I am sorry.

Clear with the hint about refreshing the settings in the DB: I will not do it soon, as I have a lot of markers and it would take me some time to reconfigure them all. In the meanwhile, I will go on without the attributions.

    Thanks as usual!

    Bye,
