The problem with fixed size slider.

Let the size of the slider to 1024 width, 683 height. If the image has other dimensions (even reverse 863 x 1024 ) it fills the whole width of the slider and or cut or change the height of the slider.
Is it possible to get the option to
1.the height and width of the slider has always been fixed
2.the image is not dependent on size (larger or smaller sizes of the slider) was inserted into the slider entirely proportionate with the addition of empty bars at the top/bottom or left/right.
3. The image should be centered vertically or horizontally
4. Additional lanes should be empty and not filled with parts of other images!!!
