The problem with writing headers

FYI… Google has strict limits on the length of SEO titles.

I don’t write anything there! At all! It automatically shows in title bars of entries. It also shows that the title is short.

The screenshot shows that there are only 28 characters in the title, and the plugin shows 63.

@theshulz that’s because the algorithm also takes the characters of your macros (see title format settings in the General Settings menu) into account.

So what should I do? Can someone answer me?

The screenshot shows that the title field is empty! And the plugin shows that there are 31 characters. What’s the matter?

31 characters is the number of characters in your site title along with the separator symbol. All in One SEO always appends your site title to any SEO title in order to comply with Google’s guideline that all titles should be branded.

So if your site title is Amazon then your About page would have an autogenerated SEO title of:

About | Amazon

9 characters of this title are the separator and site title and 5 characters are the page name.
