The process hangs

  • Hi, tell me please.
    I use the module Bulk Product Editing.

    At a filtration I specify 100 goods. When processing 100 products, for example, changing the price. Processing process freezes.

    According to the hoster:
    “We found that performing the actions described by you leads to the generation of a large number of processes launched from your account, which exceeds the limit of simultaneously running processes (please check the “Using CPU and simultaneous connections” section of your cPanel interface). After the limit is exceeded, the system does not start a new process, which leads to the impossibility of continuing the execution of the module. We can assume that to perform an operation on 100 products, the module must run 100 processes.
    In this situation, we can only recommend that you contact the developers of this module to find options for optimizing this process and reducing the simultaneous running processes. ”

    I understand from the words of the host when processing for 1 product uses 1 process
    100 products = 100 processes. The hosting restriction is activated.

    Can I somehow optimize the module for virtual hosting, for processing more products?

    Hi,
    and thank you for writing in!

    YITH WooCommerce Bulk Product Editing applies changes to products one by one; so if you edit 100 products, it performs 100 actions (processes) to edit them.
    These processes are not simultaneous: they are executed one at a time.

    Do these 100 processes start at the same time?
    You can either increase the time between processes?

    a list of processes that run simultaneously while the module is running. We, unfortunately, are not familiar with the algorithms of this module, but its work really generates a very large number of script calls ‘/public_html/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php’:

    Do these 100 processes start at the same time?

    No, the processes are executed one after the other (not at the same time); so they should not reach the limit, since YITH WooCommerce Bulk Product Editing runs one process at a time.
