    Hi,
I am building a website on a localhost server with Elementor 3.9.2 plugin and the Customify theme. on WP 6.1.1
When I add the Read More tag to the text being written and update the page, no effect is visible, although the ————MORE————- piece is visible within the text editor window.
Is it possible that Elementor is interfering with this basic WP functionality?

  • Hi,

Switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Sixteen and see if it makes any difference. If it didn’t help, please deactivate all your plugins (besides Elementor) and see if it helps. If it solves the issue, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

Hi @lianakap thanks for the tips.
However it didn’t work. I did all the proposed actions, but the read more link doesn’t appear, nor the rest of the text remains hidden
    What else could I do?
    Regards

    Hi,

Kindly update the Elementor plugin. Sometimes it isn’t apparent that there is an update available. Go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure.

In addition, kindly provide more details and steps to reproduce the problem. Are you adding the default WordPress tag or using our widget?

If you use our widget, I suggest you read more about the uses cases of the widget:?https://elementor.com/help/read-more-widget

Hi, I was using the default WP tag

Hi, I tried to recreate the issue and wasn’t able to. I suggest you try it from another browser or device.
