    Hello,

We have the development website on the following URL:

    https://fedlc.bhcb.dev/

And we have currently changed our hosts file to read the new website from this URL:

    https://fedlearningcenter.com/

Although when trying to re-activate JetPack we get the following error:

The registration secrets sent by your site do not match the ones the Jetpack server has on record.

The URL HAS changed but the website isn’t fully live yet as we are reading it directly from the server IP address so that we can do our final testing before it’s made live. So what do we need to send JetPack so we can finish the connection on the almost ready to go live website?

    Thank You.

    Hih @dcteamdevs,

While your site is publicly accessible (which is a great place to start), we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:
    https://fedlearningcenter.com/xmlrpc.php

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

You can see a working example here:

    https://jetpack.me/xmlrpc.php

Since your site returns an ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE broken page for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

    1) Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP?

    2) Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them?

    3) Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

It’s also possible that once you have completed the launch of the site, Jetpack will be able to connect with no further problems – provided the xmlrpc.php page is displayed as expected.

Hope that’s all clear! Let me know what you find out and we’ll be happy to keep investigating this with you.

    Thanks!
